We hope that during the COVID-19 pandemic, you have kept yourselves, your family and friends well, happy, and safe. Below is our current COVID-19 protocols, and we will continue to evaluate and update our policy as needed based on CDC guidelines.
Mask Policy
Masks are not required in the clinics at this time, however, if you are experiencing symptoms, we recommend wearing a mask during your visit in order to prevent the spread of infection.
Patient Screening
If you are a patient experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or if you are a patient that has had a known or suspected exposure to COVID-19 with negative test result, we encourage you to please wear a face mask throughout your visit at the practice.
Scheduling Concerns
If you are a patient with an upcoming appointment and have received a positive SARS-CoV-2 test, or you are experiencing SARS-CoV-2 symptoms, please call us to cancel your appointment and we will reschedule you for a future date.
Healthy Staff
Optima team members are required to wear a mask if the community transmission rate is deemed "high" according to the data from the CDC. Any team member with a potential exposure to someone with COVID-19 and/or any team member who experiences symptoms will promptly seek testing. If an employee tests positive, they will follow the CDC recommendation of isolating for at least five days and wearing a mask for at least 10 days. Team members can return to work following the quarantine period and with improvement of symptoms.
Prioritizing Cleanliness
Break rooms, bathrooms, and other common areas are disinfected frequently. Disinfectants, hand sanitizer, and related supplies are available to staff and patients at all times.
