Chronic Itch – Unknown Origin

Optima Research is conducting a trial on chronic itch with no known origin. Patients must meet the following criteria:

Participants need to attend 6 visits over a 24 week period at our Boardman office and will receive compensation for time and travel.

Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria

Optima Research is looking for volunteers to participate in a study for chronic hives. Qualified participants must:

• Have chronic spontaneous urticaria for at least 6 months
• Be age 18 or older
• Have tried an antihistamine that did not control the hives.

Patients will be asked to attend 19 visits at our Boardman location over a 68-week period of time. You will be compensated up to $1420 for your time and travel.

Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (Hives)

Optima Research is looking for volunteers for a research study involving chronic hives. You may qualify if you meet the following criteria:

• Age 18 or older
• Have CSU (hives) for at least 3 months
• Have tried an antihistamine that did not resolve the hives

Participants in this study will attend 7 visits at our Boardman location and will be compensated up to $1,050 for your participation.

Eczema – Hands and/or Feet

Optima Research is investigating a treatment for hand and/or foot dermatitis (eczema). To qualify you must:

• Be at least 12 years old
• Have eczema for at least 1 year
• Have tried a topical steroid or other treatment that did not work

Patients will attend 11 visits over a 32 week period, receive a patch test at no cost, and be compensated up to $1,116 for your time and travel.

Eczema – Moderate to Severe

Optima Research is looking for volunteers to participate in a study for moderate to severe eczema. Qualified participants must:

• Have eczema for at least 1 year
• Have at least 10% body surface coverage (enough to cover 2 sheets of paper)
• Have previously tried a topical treatment that did not work

Participants will attend 18 visits and have potential access to investigational medication for 52 weeks. You will receive $150/visit for time and travel for all visits.

Eczema – Moderate to Severe

Optima Research is looking for volunteers to participate in a study for moderate to severe eczema.

Qualified participants must:

• Have eczema for at least 6 months
• Have at least 10% body surface coverage (10% = 2 sheets of paper)
• Have previously tried a topical in the past 6 months that did not work
• Be between the ages of 18-65.

Patients will be asked to attend 7 visits at our Boardman location over an 8-week period. You will be compensated for your time and travel.

Female Pattern Hair Loss

Optima Research is looking for volunteers to participate in a study for female hair loss.
Qualified participants must:

• Be females between 18-65 years old
• Have mild to moderate hair loss

Patients will be asked to attend 11 visits at our Boardman location over a 13 month period of time. You will be compensated up to $975 for your time and travel.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Optima Research is looking for patients to participate in a study for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Qualifications include:

Participants will need to attend 17 visits over a 72 week period of time at our Boardman office and will receive $104/visit for a total of $1768 if all visits are attended.
