Chronic Itch – Unknown Origin

Optima Research is conducting a trial on chronic itch with no known origin. Patients must meet the following criteria:

Ages 18-90

Have chronic itch for at least 6 months

Have tried other treatments that did not work

Participants need to attend 6 visits over a 24 week period at our Boardman office and will receive compensation for time and travel.

Eczema – Moderate to Severe

Optima Research is looking for volunteers to participate in a study for moderate to severe eczema. Qualified participants must:

Have eczema for at least 1 year

Have at least 10% body surface coverage (enough to cover 2 sheets of paper)

Have previously tried a topical treatment that did not work

Participants will attend 18 visits and have potential access to investigational medication for 52 weeks. You will receive $150/visit for time and travel for all visits.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Optima Research is recruiting volunteers for a Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) study. Qualified patients must:

Be 18 or older

Have had HS for at least 6 months

Have at least 5 lesions

Have tried an oral antibiotic

If you qualify, you will attend 20 visits over a 56-week period at our Boardman location and will be paid $74/visit to cover your time and travel expenses.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Optima Research is looking for patients to participate in a study for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Qualifications include:

Be at least 18 years of age

Diagnosed with HS for at least 6 months

Have at least 5 active lesions

Participants will need to attend 17 visits over a 72 week period of time at our Boardman office and will receive $104/visit for a total of $1768 if all visits are attended.

Palmoplantar and Genital Psoriasis

We are currently recruiting volunteers for a clinical research study investigating a treatment for psoriasis with palm, sole, or genital involvement. To qualify, you must:

Be 18 or older

Have psoriasis for at least 6 months

Have psoriasis on the palms, soles, or genitals

Previously tried a topical treatment for this condition

Patients will be paid a $72 stipend at each visit for a maximum of $1,080 for the completed study and must attend 15 visits over a 56-week period of time.

Prurigo Nodularis

Optima Research is recruiting volunteers for a research study on prurigo nodularis. To qualify, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Have at least 20 PN lesions
Previously tried a topical treatment that did not work

Psoriasis – Moderate to Severe

We are conducting a research study involving a potential treatment for psoriasis. Qualified candidates must:

Have psoriasis for at least 6 months
Have at least 10% body surface coverage (approx 2 sheets of paper)

Participants will receive a stipend of $150/visit for time and travel expenses. There are 11 visits over 28 weeks to our Boardman location.
