Ally Schmerge, PA-C

Ally Schmerge, Board-Certified Physician Assistant, has been serving patients since 2021. Ally offers medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages, for a wide range of skin conditions.

Ally earned her Doctor of Medical Science (DMS) and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Butler University. During her time in university, Ally was a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society, an ambassador of the Physician Assistant Student Ambassadors (PASA) Program, and co-authored numerous publications. Ally completed multiple clinical rotations throughout her education and training, including dermatology, women's health, family medicine, emergency medicine and more. Prior to completing her DMS and Masters, Ally graduated Cum Laude from DePauw University with a bachelor's degree in Cellular & Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Ally is a certified NCCPA Physician Assistant and is a member of the Indiana Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants. Ally is passionate about skin cancer prevention, and through her DMS program constructed a research proposal focused on the early detection of malignant melanoma in rural U.S. counties.

When she is not treating patients, Ally enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outside (especially finding new hiking trails), travelling, watching football, and deal-hunting for home décor at TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. Ally is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to each of her patients and looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care in the greater Bloomington area.
