Lori Schaen, MD

Dr. Lori Schaen, board-certified dermatologist, has been providing dermatological care since 2001. Dr. Schaen offers medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages for a wide range of skin conditions. She also provides laser treatments.  

Dr. Schaen completed her residency in dermatology at Strong Memorial Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Additionally, Dr. Schaen completed her pediatric internship at Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Williams College. Dr. Schaen was recognized with multiple awards throughout her education including, The Women's Dermatologic Society Mentorship Grant, American Contact Dermatitis Society James R. Nethercott Clinical Award, The H.B. Weiss Award for Clinical Excellence and The Dr. Ernst Beutner Excellence in Immunopathy Award. 

Dr. Schaen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the Ohio Dermatological Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the American Acne & Rosacea Society, and the American Medical Association. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Schaen is very busy with her active family, looking for a tennis match, and enjoying the restorative powers of Pilates. Dr. Schaen looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the greater Cincinnati area. Always a strong patient advocate, Dr. Schaen is excited to share the Optima Dermatology vision of treating every patient how you would want yourself, family and friends treated.
