Maria Petkova, NP-C

Maria Petkova, NP-C, board-certified nurse practitioner, offers medical and surgical dermatology care to patients of all ages, for a variety of skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and more.

Maria earned her Master of Science in Nursing, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors with an emphasis on Family Medicine, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Simmons University in Boston. Prior to transitioning to dermatology, Maria worked as a nurse in oncology and pediatric intensive care. She is passionate about the progression of women’s health research and has participated in multiple clinical studies at Harvard School of Public Health. She also helped in the development of numerous cutaneous and non-cutaneous oncology clinical trials while at the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research. Maria is an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

In her free time, you can find Maria enjoying family adventures with her husband and two young sons, reading a good book or baking.
