Dr. Ryan Jay, DO, has been providing clinical care to patients since 2016. Dr. Ryan Jay treats a variety of skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, skin cancer, and more.
Dr. Jay completed his residency in dermatology at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he served as Chief Dermatology Resident and scored amongst the top of dermatology residents on board exams. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine where he led the top 10% of his class. Dr. Jay earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in French from Denison University, graduating magna cum laude and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa – the oldest and most prestigious academic honor society in America.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jay has contributed to numerous medical publications and has served in a variety of educational and teaching roles, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing medical education and patient care.
Dr. Jay is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Gay and Lesbian Dermatology Society, and the International Dermoscopy Society.
He is passionate about giving back to the community and has served in numerous community volunteer roles throughout his career.
Dr. Jay grew up in New York City for almost a decade before moving to Columbus, Ohio, where he remained for the rest of his education. He fell in love with Maine a few years ago and is thrilled to set roots with his partner in Portland.
In his free time, you can find Dr. Jay partaking in all things related to food, whether it is exploring Portland’s diverse restaurant scene or cooking local seafood and produce with his partner. He also enjoys playing tennis, running, traveling, supporting Arsenal F.C., rekindling his passion for French, and participating in the many water and winter activities of Maine.
