Leading board-certified dermatologist Dr. Scott Guenthner, MD, FAAD founded The Dermatology Center of Indiana in 2002. Highly reputed among his patients and peers, Dr. Guenthner specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He has continued to grow his practice into three locations, fostering a team of highly experienced, motivated, and caring individuals who are willing to “go the extra mile” for patients. In addition, he continues to advance the dermatology field through the inclusion of a clinical trials center and a location specializing in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
Dr. Guenthner obtained his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Iowa, was an early inductee and officer in the University of Iowa chapters of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha and was awarded the Hancher–Finkbine Medallion as a fourth-year medical student. This medallion is awarded to outstanding students who are high academic achievers and proven leaders on campus. Following medical school, Dr. Guenthner completed an internship at St. Vincent Hospital & Health Services in Indianapolis, and a three-year dermatology residency at Indiana University where he served as the Chief Resident. Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Guenthner’s philanthropic efforts support various organizations such as Traders Point Christian Church, the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA, the Hendricks County Community Foundation, the Indiana Sports Corporation, Guerin Catholic High School, St. Louis de Montfort Catholic School, the Navy SEAL Foundation, and Folds of Honor Foundation. Dr. Guenthner is also an Eagle Scout and volunteers locally for the Boy Scouts of America.
