Joshua Goldsmith, DO
Joshua Goldsmith, DO, is a Board-Certified Dermatopathologist and has been specializing in anatomic and clinical pathology with a sub focus in dermatopathology since 2022.
He completed his combined anatomic pathology and clinical pathology residency, as well as his subspecialty fellowship training in dermatopathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, while also serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Goldsmith earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Goldsmith is a fellow of the American Society for Dermatopathology.
Dr. Goldsmith is passionate about understanding skin conditions, and how certain skin growths change over time. In 2022, he collaborated on a research study examining whether a common skin spot could carry a higher risk of developing skin cancer. This research was later published in the American Journal of Surgical Pathology. He is also a current instructor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School.
When he is not in the lab, you can find Dr. Goldsmith playing basketball or writing music, both of which are passions he has had since a young age.
Dr. Goldsmith is thrilled to continue providing patient centered dermatopathology for all Optima Dermatology patients.
