Shonagh Leonard, DO

Bio

Shonagh Leonard, DO offers medical and cosmetic dermatology care to patients of all ages. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England and completed her residency in dermatology at Trinity Health where she served as Academic Chief Dermatology Resident. She also completed an internship at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor through the hospital transitional year program.

Dr. Leonard earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. While pursuing her degree, she worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at several healthcare facilities in southern New Hampshire, gaining hands-on experience in patient care. Throughout her education Dr. Leonard has also taken on multiple leadership roles where she supported the academic success of her peers.

Dr. Leonard was born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. She is thrilled to be back in her hometown serving the community that shaped her into the person and physician she is today. In her free time, Dr. Leonard enjoys spending time with her husband and their growing family, hiking, visiting the seacoast, and curling up with a good book.

Bio

Kristen French, Licensed Medical Esthetician, has been providing esthetic expertise to patients in the Seacoast region since 2010. Kristen has advanced training and experience providing HydraFacial® treatments, dermaplaning, chemical peels, waxing, and more.

Kristen graduated from the Catherine Hinds Institute of Aesthetics as a Licensed Medical Esthetician. She has over 20 years of experience in the skincare industry and provides a wealth of knowledge on medical-grade skincare products. She also graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science, where she completed a semester abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Outside of the office, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. They spend most of their summer at the beach or at Lake Winnipesaukee. In the winter they enjoy skiing in New Hampshire and Maine.

Kristen is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their skincare goals by creating custom treatment plans and offering best-in-class technology, devices and products. She looks forward to continuing to provide the Seacoast with individualized and thorough care.

Virginia Barton, MD, FAAD

Bio

Dr. Virginia Barton, board-certified dermatologist, offers expert medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care for patients of all ages. Dr. Barton treats a variety of skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, autoimmune connective tissue disease, skin cancer, and more. She also offers cosmetic treatments such as neurotoxin, dermal filler, chemical peels, and laser procedures.

Dr. Barton completed her dermatology residency at Tulane University. She has been featured in 14 medical publications and has served as an investigator in numerous clinical trials addressing skin conditions such as hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis during her time as a clinical research fellow at the University of California Davis and the Medical University of South Carolina.

Throughout her medical education Dr. Barton was involved in many leadership roles. She served as a mentor while completing her residency for the National Dermatology Interest Group. She also served as Chief Resident of Cosmetics and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society during her Tulane University Dermatology Residency. Dr. Barton held the role of Vice President and President of the Medical University of South Carolina’s Dermatology Interest Group chapter during her time there.

Dr. Barton graduated from the University of Georgia in 2012 with her Bachelor of Science in Biology then earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2018 at the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her intern year in general surgery at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Barton is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Womens Dermatologic Society.

When Dr. Barton is not seeing patients, you can find her partaking in just about any outdoor activity including hiking, skiing, camping, and boating. She enjoys listening to live music and spending time with her Great Dane, Moose. Sarah Winholt, FNP-C

Bio

Sarah Winholt, FNP-C is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, and has been providing medical aesthetic expertise to patients for 3 years in the Cincinnati and Columbus regions. Sarah has advanced training and extensive experience performing a wide range of cosmetic treatments including neurotoxin injections, such as BOTOX® and Dysport®, dermal filler, laser and light treatments, microneedling, chemical peels, and more.

Prior to her transition into medical aesthetics, Sarah worked in an urgent care setting as a Family Nurse Practitioner diagnosing and treating common dermatologic conditions. She also has several years of experience working as a critical care RN in the hospital setting.

Sarah earned both her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Cincinnati. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Rehabilitative Sciences from The Ohio State University. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

When she is not treating patients, you can find Sarah traveling and spending time with friends and family, taking Pilates classes, and walking her dog, Penny. Taylor Seipel, BSN, RN, LE

Bio

Taylor Seipel, BSN, RN, LE, Medical Aesthetics Nurse, has been caring for patients since 2015. Taylor has advanced training in medical dermatology, as well as cosmetic treatments such as SkinPen® microneedling, Chemical Peels, and CoolSculpting®.

In addition to offering select medical aesthetic treatments, Taylor works closely with Dr. Cuozzo and Holly Morris at Optima Dermatology in Scarborough as a dermatology medical assistant, and previously worked in Vascular Surgery and Mohs Surgery. Taylor earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Winona State University, and her Licensed Esthetician certificate from Spa Tech Institute.

Taylor has always been interested in skincare, even prior to her experience in dermatology. She is passionate about building long term relationships with her patients and creating custom treatment plans that will build and maintain self-confidence.

When Taylor is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two tuxedo cats. She enjoys taking the ferry to Peaks Island and going for hikes. She looks forward to continuing to treat patients in Scarborough and surrounding areas!

Brienne D. Cressey MD, MBA, FAAD, FACMS

Bio

Brienne D. Cressey MD, MBA, FAAD, FACMS is a board-certified board-certified Mohs micrographic dermatologic surgeon and board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Cressey has been treating patients in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire since 2017 and has performed over 8,000 Mohs cases. Her areas of expertise include Mohs Micrographic Surgery (Mohs) for skin cancers and laser treatments including VBeam ®, Fraxel® and and Halo® Hybrid Fractional Laser.

Dr. Cressey completed her Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Facial Reconstruction, Lasers and Cosmetics as a Dermatologic Oncology Fellow at the Dermatology Professionals in Rhode Island with Dr. Nathaniel Jellinek. She completed her residency in dermatology at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell where she was named Chief Resident and was recognized with multiple awards including the Women’s Dermatologist Society Mentorship Award, Derm Mentor Resident of Distinction Award, first place in the New York Academy of Medicine Resident Research Competition, and more. Prior to residency, she completed her internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine with highest honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical school and received her Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on healthcare management from Brandeis University.

Dr. Cressey is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She has authored over 25 peer reviewed articles in major academic journals such as Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Surgical Education and Journal of American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Cressey was born and raised in Maine. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter as well as time outdoors fishing and kayaking. Sarah Scanlon, BSN, RN, has been providing medical aesthetics expertise to patients in the seacoast region since 2012. With more than 7 years of healthcare experience, Sarah previously worked as a registered nurse in psychiatric nursing and home care before transitioning to medical aesthetics. Sarah is an expert injector who specializes in neurotoxins such as BOTOX^® and Dysport^®, dermal fillers including Restylane^® and Juvéderm^®. Additionally, she has advanced training in laser and light treatments, microneedling, and more.

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Regis College. She is passionate about continuing regular training to remain at the forefront of the latest aesthetic procedures and technology. She has attended the National Laser Institute to receive training in neurotoxins and dermal facial fillers administration, in addition to laser treatments. She is also trained in advanced filler injection techniques with Microcannula. Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her two children, her husband, and Malcolm, their English Bulldog.

Michelle Nunez, LE

Bio

Michelle Nunez, LE, has been providing medical aesthetics expertise to patients since 2010. Michelle has advanced training in laser and light treatments, microneedling, facial treatments, laser hair removal, and chemical peels.

With more than 10 years of skin care experience, Michelle is a Master Esthetician and graduated from the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics as an Esthetician and Skin Care specialist. During her time there, she completed 1,200 hours of education and training. Michelle is also a certified laser technician and completed training with the National Laser Institute.

Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and pets. She enjoys traveling with her family, spending time by the seacoast, reading, and gardening.

Michelle is passionate about building relationships with her patients. Jennifer Stead, DO, FAAD

Bio

Dr. Jennifer Stead, board-certified dermatologist, has been serving patients in the New England region since 2011. Dr. Stead offers both medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages, for a wide range of skin conditions. She also specializes in medical aesthetic treatments including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and laser treatments.

Dr. Stead completed her dermatology residency in Michigan at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and served as their Chief Resident. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, preceded by her Bachelor of Science in biology and genetics from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Stead has authored numerous clinical publications and is a beloved provider in the southern New Hampshire region. During her free time, Dr. Stead enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. They can be found embracing outdoor activities, spending time on the seacoast, traveling, and attending the kids’ sporting events. She is very passionate about the patient’s experience and the continuity of their care. Dr. Stead looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the greater New Hampshire area.
