Brienne D. Cressey MD, MBA, FAAD, FACMS

Bio

Brienne D. Cressey MD, MBA, FAAD, FACMS is a double board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs micrographic dermatologic surgeon. Dr. Cressey has been treating patients in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire since 2017. Her areas of expertise include Mohs Micrographic Surgery (Mohs) for skin cancers and laser treatments including VBeam ®, CO2, Fraxel® and PicoWay®.

Dr. Cressey completed her Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Facial Reconstruction, Lasers and Cosmetics as a Dermatologic Oncology Fellow at the Dermatology Professionals in Rhode Island with Dr. Nathaniel Jellinek.  She completed her residency in dermatology at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell where she was named Chief Resident and was recognized with multiple awards including the Women’s Dermatologist Society Mentorship Award, Derm Mentor Resident of Distinction Award, first place in the New York Academy of Medicine Resident Research Competition, and more.  Prior to residency, she completed her internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine with highest honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical school and received her Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on healthcare management from Brandeis University.

Dr. Cressey is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She has authored over 25 peer reviewed articles in major academic journals such as Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Surgical Education and Journal of American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Cressey was born and raised in Maine. When she is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter as well as time outdoors fishing and kayaking. Dr. Cressey is thrilled to provide industry-leading dermatology care and access to Mohs surgery at our Stratham practice. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to all her patients while being both knowledgeable and approachable.

Jamie Piacentini, NP-C, APRN, DNP

Bio

Jamie Piacentini, NP-C, APRN, DNP, board-certified nurse practitioner, has been serving patients in southern Maine and New Hampshire since 2017. She was trained under world renowned dermatologist, Thomas P. Habif MD. Jamie offers medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages including a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer screenings and skin cancer treatment, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and much more. 

Jamie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of New Hampshire. In addition, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Simmons School of Nursing Health & Health Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Jamie is also an Advanced Nurse Injector for cosmetics and a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, Dermatology Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. As part of her final DNP project, Jamie worked diligently with the legislature in Maine to pass a law to restrict indoor tanning for minors under the age of 18 in the state of Maine. It had been attempted multiple times and was finally passed in 2019.

When she is not treating patients, Jamie enjoys spending time with her two boys and husband. She loves to travel, play golf and spend time on the water. Jamie goes above and beyond to ensure each of her patients has the best experience possible and looks forward to providing patients in the greater Portland Maine area with personalized and comprehensive care.

Sherry H. Yu, MD, FAAD, FACMS

Bio

Dr. Sherry H. Yu is a Harvard- and Yale-trained double board-certified dermatologist and board-certified micrographic dermatologic surgeon. She has been treating patients since 2017. Her areas of expertise include Mohs Micrographic Surgery (Mohs) for skin cancers, cutaneous oncology, and cosmetic dermatology, including neurotoxin injections, such as BOTOX® and Dysport ®, dermal filler, and laser treatments.

Dr. Yu received her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University, where she graduated with highest honors and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Subsequently, she attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Yu completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she was named “Intern of the Month” and then completed her Residency in Dermatology at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program and Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Yale University School of Medicine.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Yu was a Mohs Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic and served as an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she served on the Faculty Council. She has previously also been a member of the Harvard Medical School Learning Environment Committee and a peer tutor in pre-medicine at Harvard College.

Dr. Yu is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She has authored over 20 peer reviewed articles and was a member of the Mohs Surgeons Leading the Future: ACMS Foundation Leadership Program, and has given lectures at local, national, and international meetings.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Yu enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children, gardening, hiking, and traveling. Dr. Yu is thrilled to provide industry-leading dermatology care and access to Mohs surgery at our Macedonia practice. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to all her patients while being both knowledgeable and approachable.

Laura Anderson, PA-C

Bio

Laura Anderson, PA-C, board-certified physician assistant, has been serving patients in the seacoast of New Hampshire and southern Maine regions since 2017. Laura offers medical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages for a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer screenings and skin cancer treatment, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and much more.

Laura earned her Master of Science in the Physician Assistant Program from Rutgers University. During her time at Rutgers University, Laura was passionate about mentoring and advising students and peers and was a tutor providing educational services and leadership. In 2015, Laura earned the Pathology Award in Excellence. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

When she is not treating patients, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, hiking with my dog, camping, anything outdoors! Laura looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the New Hampshire seacoast area and is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to all her patients.

Kory Schrom, MD

Bio

Dr. Kory Schrom has been serving patients in the Cleveland region since 2017. Dr. Schrom offers medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages for a wide range of skin conditions.

Dr. Schrom has been the lead sub-investigator on multiple industry-sponsored clinical trials and has authored multiple publications. While in residency, he served as the Chief Resident of Cosmetic Dermatology as well as an elected representative on University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center’s Resident Forum.

Dr. Schrom completed his residency training in Dermatology and a fellowship in Dermatopharmacology at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Schrom earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, and his Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Sciences at Kent State University.Outside of treating patients, Dr. Schrom enjoys running, biking, and indulging in his love of coffee! Dr. Schrom is passionate about providing exceptional dermatological care and treating his patients as he would his family and friends. As a Northeast Ohio native, he looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the greater Cleveland area.

Jennifer Stead, DO, FAAD

Bio

Dr. Jennifer Stead, board-certified dermatologist, has been serving patients in the New England region since 2011. Dr. Stead offers both medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages, for a wide range of skin conditions. She also specializes in medical aesthetic treatments including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and laser treatments.

Dr. Stead completed her dermatology residency in Michigan at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and served as their Chief Resident. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, preceded by her Bachelor of Science in biology and genetics from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Stead has authored numerous clinical publications and is a beloved provider in the southern New Hampshire region. During her free time, Dr. Stead enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. They can be found embracing outdoor activities, spending time on the seacoast, traveling, and attending the kids’ sporting events.  She is very passionate about the patient’s experience and the continuity of their care.  Dr. Stead looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the greater New Hampshire area.

Rachel L. Delost, DO

Dr. Rachel L. Delost
Bio

Dr. Rachel L. Delost is a board-certified dermatologist who has been serving patients in the Cleveland region since 2019. Dr. Delost offers medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages from newborns to adults, for a wide range of skin conditions. She also provides medical aesthetic treatments including neurotoxin injections, such as Botox® and Dysport®, and dermal fillers.

Dr. Delost completed her medicine internship and dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals. She has peer reviewed over 20 dermatology articles and has taken on many leadership roles throughout her career in dermatology. She served as Cosmetic Clinic Co-Chief and the Osteopathic Chief at University Hospitals, and previously a student ambassador, president of her class, and president of the Dermatology Interest Group. Dr. Delost is also passionate about mentoring and advising students and peers.

Dr. Delost earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a double major in Biology and Spanish, with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Delost is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology and Ohio Osteopathic Association.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Delost can be found cooking and baking, golfing, horseback riding, and traveling to the Caribbean (with her SPF of course). She is also very involved in her community and enjoys giving back. During her time at Case Western Reserve University, she was president and founder of Campus Canines for a Cure, an initiative to bring therapy dogs to campus during midterms and finals to help students de-stress. She has also been involved with a medical mission trip to Argentina, Make-A-Wish, Habitat for Humanity, women’s homeless shelters, and more.

Dr. Delost is thrilled to continue to provide innovative dermatologic care in the Cleveland region and is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to all her patients.

Ian Rosenthal, MD, PhD

Bio

Dr. Ian M. Rosenthal, MD, PhD, is an experienced Board-Certified Dermatopathologist and has been providing dermatopathology services since 2015.

Dr. Rosenthal completed his Fellowship in Dermatopathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to Fellowship he completed his Residency in Anatomic Pathology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Rosenthal also received his Doctor of Philosophy at The Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, where he was responsible for developing the first new clinically approved drug combination for tuberculosis in over 50 years. He also completed postdoctoral work at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with a focus on the experimental chemotherapy of tuberculosis. Additionally, Dr. Rosenthal has authored over 40 dermatopathology publications and abstracts throughout his career and is also passionate about teaching and mentorship. He has led numerous teaching and tutorial sessions with Cornell Dermatology Residents and Johns Hopkins University medical students.

When he is not working, Dr. Rosenthal can be found spending time with his wife and two boys, playing classical guitar, and cooking new recipes from around the world. Dr. Rosenthal is thrilled to continue to provide patient centered dermatopathology for all Optima Dermatology patients.

Dr. Lori Schaen, board-certified dermatologist, has been providing dermatological care since 2001. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Williams College. Dr. Schaen was recognized with multiple awards throughout her education including, The Women's Dermatologic Society Mentorship Grant, American Contact Dermatitis Society James R. Nethercott Clinical Award, The H.B. Weiss Award for Clinical Excellence and The Dr. Ernst Beutner Excellence in Immunopathy Award. 

Dr. Schaen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the Ohio Dermatological Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the American Acne & Rosacea Society, and the American Medical Association. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Schaen is very busy with her active family, looking for a tennis match, and enjoying the restorative powers of Pilates. Dr. Schaen looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the greater Cincinnati area. Always a strong patient advocate, Dr. Schaen is excited to share the Optima Dermatology vision of treating every patient how you would want yourself, family and friends treated.

Todd Troxell, DO, FAOCD

Dr. Todd Troxell
Bio

Dr. Todd Troxell, board-certified dermatologist, has been serving patients since 2018. Dr. Troxell offers medical and surgical dermatology treatments for patients age one year old and older, for a wide range of skin conditions.

Dr. Troxell is on the Board of Directors of Kirksville Osteopathic Alumni Association. He has peer reviewed dermatology articles and abstracts. Dr. Troxell was awarded the Platinum TOUCH Community Service award in 2017; he is passionate about giving back to his community through different service efforts. As a medical student, he founded Still Caring Health Connection Clinic, a free medical clinic for the underserved run by fellow medical students. Additionally, Dr. Troxell was awarded the prestigious of Student Doctor of the Year in 2017.

Dr. Troxell completed his internship training at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton, MI, and he completed his dermatology residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Troxell completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO. He also completed his fellowship with A.T. Still University in Medical Education.

Dr. Troxell takes pleasure in traveling the globe and being outdoors. Over the last decade, he has embarked on International Medical Outreach trips to Honduras, Vietnam, Nicaragua, and Haiti. Dr. Troxell is a doctor of many talents, as he has his 1st Degree black belt in Kenpo Karate, and PADI Search and Rescue certification in Scuba Diving.

Brennen Barnett, MS, MSPAS, PA-C

Bio

Brennen Barnett, MS, MSPAS, PA-C, board-certified physician assistant, has been serving patients in the Cleveland region since 2019. Brennen offers medical dermatology treatments for patients of all ages from newborns to adults, for a wide range of skin conditions.

Brennen earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Mount Union, preceded by her Master of Science in Medical and Experimental Pathology from Case Western Reserve University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology at Bethel College in Indiana.

When she is not treating patients, Brennen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and baking. Brennen looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the greater Cleveland area and is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to all her patients.
