Bio

Rebecca Houlihan, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a board-certified nurse practitioner and has been providing dermatology care to patients since 2021. Before transitioning to dermatology, Rebecca gained valuable experience in urgent care and emergency medicine, working primarily in the emergency department at Addison Gilbert Hospital, with additional experience at Beverly Hospital, both part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health system. She also previously worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts.

Rebecca earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University. She holds two undergraduate degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health with a minor in Neuroscience from Penn State University.

Rebecca is an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association (DNA), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

When she’s not treating patients, Rebecca loves spending time with her family and her golden retriever, Augie. Rebecca is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and relaxing at the beach during the summer months. She is also an avid reader and skier.

Andreea Socaciu, FNP-BC, DCNP, board-certified nurse practitioner, has been working as a healthcare professional in nursing since 2009, and as a dermatology nurse practitioner since 2022. She also has extensive training in medical aesthetics, including neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, PRP, and more. Andreea will be providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care to patients of all ages, treating a wide range of skin conditions including skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and more.

Andreea received her Master of Science in Nursing Practice from Georgia Southern University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Andreea is a member of the National Academy of Dermatology. Matthew Lipner, MD, PhD

Bio

Matthew Lipner, MD, PhD is a board-certified dermatologist offering expert medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology for patients of all ages. Dr. Lipner treats a variety of skin conditions including skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and more.

Dr. Lipner completed his dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), and a transitional year residency program at Grand Strand Medical Center.

Dr. Lipner received his Doctor of Medicine from the UNC School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He also earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology from the Lineberger Cancer Center at UNC. Throughout his training, Dr. Lipner held numerous leadership roles, including serving as Cosmetics Curriculum Chair during his dermatology residency program at UNC, and as Vice President and later President of the Program Student Council while earning his MD and PhD. His passion for mentorship was evident in his roles as a teaching assistant and tutor, where he guided peers and students.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Lipner has contributed to advancing dermatologic care through his research. He has authored nine medical publications and participated in multiple research projects and clinical trials focused on cancer biology and therapies, further cementing his expertise in the field.

When Dr. Lipner is not seeing patients, he spends his time with his wife, two daughters, and dog exploring the outdoors, trying his hand at recipes from around the world, and watching football.

Bio

Shonagh Leonard, DO is a board-certified dermatologist offering medical and cosmetic dermatology care to patients of all ages. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England and completed her residency in dermatology at Trinity Health where she served as Academic Chief Dermatology Resident. She also completed an internship at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor through the hospital transitional year program.

While pursuing her degree, she worked as a Licensed Nursing Assistant at several healthcare facilities in southern New Hampshire, gaining hands-on experience in patient care. Abel D. Jarell, MD, FAAD

Bio

Abel D. Jarell, MD, FAAD is a West Point graduate and Harvard-trained double board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. Dr. Jarell has been providing dermatology services since 2009, treating patients of all ages. He specializes in complex medical dermatology and is an active clinical trials investigator who has been directly involved in the development of the majority of the modern therapeutics currently used in dermatology.

Dr. Jarell earned his Doctor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in dermatology in the Harvard Dermatology Residency Program where he was named Chief Resident. He then completed a fellowship in dermatopathology through the internationally renowned University of California in San Francisco dermatopathology training program.

Before medical school, he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned his Bachelor of Science in chemistry and was recognized as a Distinguished Cadet (top 5% in class academically). As part of his military obligation, he served in two combat theaters. Most of his Army medical career was spent at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he was on the dermatology and dermatopathology faculty and co-founded the dermatopathology fellowship program as well as the Melanoma and Pigmented Lesion Clinic at the Murtha Cancer Center.

In his free time, Dr. Jarell enjoys spending time with his wife and children, traveling, listening to music, kitesurfing, and staying abreast of innovative technologies.

Dr. Jarell looks forward to continuing to provide industry-leading dermatology care to patients in the New Hampshire seacoast area.
